How to store bamboo stakes?
Most stakes will last for several years if you store them carefully when clearing flowerbeds in the autumn. For stakes made from natural fibres, carefully remove any parts of the plant that are already withered or still green. Wait until the soil on the stake has dried, then remove it with a stiff scrubbing brush and spray the stake with diluted bleach. This method will neutralise any possible contamination.
